Arizona State University screening & workshop February 2024
Co-founders of Massive Change Network, Bisi Williams and Bruce Mau, have partnered with Arizona State University to help reconsider the very nature and structure of education. Inspired by I Have A Name, the visionary designers and forward thinkers have created a design curriculum around the unhoused crisis. Using the film as a springboard, they currently teach an undergraduate course to design and engineering students, with the goal to redefine the problem, identify the roadblocks to change, create solutions and to work more closely with the unhoused.
Johns Hopkins University Bloomberg Center screening & workshop September 2024
Massive Change Network and Theorem Media partnered with Johns Hopkins University Bloomberg Center and the District Architecture center to host a screening and workshop in Washington, D.C. in September of 2024. Students from George Washington University, Virginia Commonwealth University, Marymount University and others worked together alongside Bisi Williams and Bruce Mau to continue the exploration of how to reframe the unhoused crisis as a life-centered design challenge.
“Life is a designed life and the beauty of that is, since it is designed, we can redesign it to be more beautiful, more sustainable, more humane. And therefore we have the capacity to change the world.” - Bruce Mau.
